Stacey Lynn is a mother of four who has built a career as an author of contemporary romance novels. “What began as a hobby and a way to survive a Minnesota winter,” explained the writer of a biographical blurb appearing on the author’s home page, Stacey Lynn Books, “… has now turned into … unending passion.”
In one of her first published novels, Remembering Us, Lynn introduces Amy Thompson, recovering after a traumatic accident and discovering that she cannot remember anything from her recent past. “Amy comes out of a coma (accident induced, although no one will tell her much about that) not remembering anything from the past two years of her life,” declared a reviewer for Maryse’s Book Blog. “She finds herself going back to her run-down apartment that doesn’t resemble anything about her life as she remembers it. She discovers clothes and shoes that she can’t imagine having ever worn, and lives with an attractive guy (Adam), that she feels nothing for, at all. Other than apprehension.” “Amy has no choice but to build her life again, find herself again,” the Maryse’s Book Blog contributor continued, “as she attempts to understand… to remember who she was and why she feels so different. That’s part of what made this an exciting, unputdownable read.”
In Fake Wife, Lynn introduces Teagan Monroe and Corbin Lane, an unlikely couple who have been brought together by fate. “Corbin’s grandmother, the only person who has shown him love in his life, has passed away. She willed him her home, but with a catch–he has six months to fall in love, get married, and remain married for two years,” stated a Harlequin Junkie reviewer. “Teagan’s having a bad day–she gets fired … [and] has nowhere to go after moving out of [the] apartment.” She has also just found her med-student boyfriend in bed with another woman, and is stunned when Corbin suddenly proposes to her. “But he turns out to be a good guy,” commented a Smexy Books website contributor. “He respects Teagan and treats her well during their fake courtship/engagement. He starts to share real things of his life with her and if he does get out of line, or forgets to be a gentleman, she is there to remind him. She is a really strong character and she made this book for me.”
Critics praised Fake Wife for its winsome characters. “This book is impossible to discuss without giving anything away—and it’s definitely one of those books that every reader deserves to experience without spoilers. For the most part it was an easy read,” declared Marta Aguiar in Mammie Babbie. “There is a dramatic climax, [but] the resolution isn’t made into a massive hoo-ha that isn’t actually remotely real…. The love story is there and it’s beautiful. I really hope that … we see more of Teagan and Corbin.” “Fun-loving secondary characters and great chemistry between the leads,” wrote a Publishers Weekly reviewer, “make this … a winning romance.”

Stacey Lynn is a simple girl, raised most of her life in the MidWest. Perhaps it was the long, frigid winters that left her so bored she had nothing to do but spend time reading every book she could get her hands on from John Grisham and Danielle Steel to Ann M. Martin and CS Lewis. As an avid reader, she began penning poems and short stories long before she reached high school and her love of the written word has never diminished.
Now, as a wife and mother to four children, she finds solace from the craziness of her life by creating steamy, sexy stories that generally tug at your emotions. What began as a hobby and a way to survive a Minnesota winter four years ago and the dream of publishing her first book, has now turned into an unending passion.
She is currently the author of two dozen novels, many of which are bestselling on Amazon and iBooks. She has also several books translated into French.

Fake Wife: Crazy Love, Book 1
Stacey Lynn. Loveswept, $4.99 e-book (230p) ISBN 978-1-5247-9784-3
When library assistant Teagan Monroe is laid off from her job, catches her boyfriend cheating, and ends up homeless all in a matter of hours, she doesn't think life could get any worse. Then she rear-ends the Mercedes of wealthy Corbin Lane, member of one of the richest families in Portland, Ore. Corbin's had a pretty bad day himself, thanks to the clause in his grandmother's will that states he must marry within six months (and stay married for at least two years) in order to keep the home he grew up in. When Corbin discovers Teagan's dilemma, he thinks he's found the perfect spouse, especially since she's beautiful and, as he quickly learns, has a great personality. He promises her money in exchange for a temporary, sex-free marriage. Corbin's life isn't as happy as the press portrays it, and he finds a new confidant in Teagan, who's nothing like the gold-digging socialites he usually dates. The loyalty and consideration they show for each other enhances their immediate, intense connection. Fun-loving secondary characters and great chemistry between the leads make this introduction to Lynn's Crazy Love series a winning romance. (Jan.)

His to Protect
Stacey Lynn. Loveswept, $2.99 e-book (225p) ISBN 978-1-101-96796-6
The second in the Fireside series (after His to Love) pulls in characters from the first book and ends with a cliff-hanger that sets up the love story of the next, in the process creating a strong sense of the Detroit neighborhood community that supports the characters. Declan Moore, the owner of the Fireside Grill, is instantly drawn to protect the woman he finds feeding her dog out of his restaurant's dumpster. Trina Wilson, running from her powerful and abusive husband, is reluctant to trust any man, but she can't resist the offer of a hot meal and a bed to sleep in. Trina's husband is still looking for her, though, and as Declan and Trina get closer, Trina gets more anxious about staying in Detroit, all too close to the home she fled in Kentucky. The alternating points of view create windows into the characters' motivations, and the reader will be gripped by Trina's fear of her husband and Declan's compassion and anger on her behalf. The final showdown feels a bit contrived, but the personalities and prose shine through the formula. Agent: Michelle Johnson, Inklings Literary. July)

REVIEW: Fake Wife, Stacey Lynn
January 10, 2018 by Marta Aguiar
A sweet, humorous and beautiful love story that’ll sweep you off your feet…
Stacey Lynn is a new author to me, the most I’d read from her prior to Fake Wife were a couple of excerpts and blurbs to other of her books. Filthy Player is on my TBR. It has been on it since the option to review came up, but I was unable to go for it. I know, it’s a sad day when you can’t say Yay to a book. However, I have to say that I’m so happy to have popped my Stacey Lynn cherry with Fake Wife. I’m not sure what I expected from this book, but I thought it was going to be somewhat sex driven. Obviously, I wouldn’t mind that, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a love story this really was. I am a massive fan of the fake lover trope and although I kind of expected this to be somewhat clichéd, it was anything but. Ms. Lynn has injected zing, humour and freshness into this trope.
Plot wise, there isn’t anything that I can really complain about. It was really well planned, followed through and developed. My only one “thing” about it is the pacing. Although the characters have six months to follow through with their ruse, the entire story takes place over 2-3 weeks. Although it feels longer from some of the things that Teagan says about their time together. I don’t think that this is a continuity issue, it’s just the way that I read into it. Honestly, I don’t think that many other readers will actually read it that way. Like I was saying before, I wish that the timescale had been a little longer so that their chemistry and feelings didn’t feel so sudden. However, this story is more on the insta-love side of the scale, even if there is a build-up to their actual get together. I really liked that although the chemistry between Corbin and Teagan was palpable from the moment they crossed paths, they didn’t jump straight into bed with one another. I liked the conflicting feelings that they were dealing with within themselves. For me, that’s what made this boo standout from others with similar plots, or rather the same trope. The humour factor really helped make this story original and it took it from a good read to a great read. I love multi-dimensional plots, and Stacey Lynn has really delivered on that front.
When it came to the characters, I could not get enough! Obviously I just adored Teagan and Corbin, but I really feel that Caitlin and Trey really lit up every scene that they were in. As far as secondary/ supporting characters go, I loved these two and I could not get enough! I really hope that they get their own book, or books if I’ve read into their chemistry wrong. As far as villains go, Franklin was you’re round of the mill crappy dad. I really did not like him, or the way that he treated his family. Did I see the twist coming? No, I didn’t. It was brilliantly executed and it really threw me through a loop. I really felt for Corbin throughout this book, he is such a strong male, a real alpha, but his relationship with his mother really holds him back from achieving what he truly dreams of. For me this is where the genius of the story lays. You see, Teagan and Corbin are from two completely different sides of the societal scale. He has grown up with a family, an education and money, and she is an orphaned college dropout. They are so different, but yet they want the sae things, and that middle ground not only brings them together but also balances each of them out.
I really could keep blathering on about Fake Wife, but the reality is that this book is impossible to discuss without giving anything away—and it’s definitely one of those books that every reader deserves to experience without spoilers. For the most part t was an easy read. I liked that although there is dramatic climax, the resolution isn’t made into a massive hoo-ha that isn’t actually remotely real. If that makes sense? The emotions are there and that heart stopping anxiety really hits, but the way it plays out is mature and realistic. Again it’s well balanced. If anything I was a little sad that we didn’t see more of the lead up to the epilogue. I wanted to see more of them getting to their end point, but to be honest the love story is there and it’s beautiful. I really hope that Trey and Caitlin have their own book/books and that we see more of Teagan and Corbin in them. To be honest, I’d really like to see Franklin get his comeuppance!
Book Review – Remembering Us by Stacey Lynn

Remembering Us
<— This blurb tricked me (but in such a goooooooood way)!!! It’s about exactly what it says it’s about… and yet totally different than what I was expecting. I now realize my mind came up with it’s own story before going in, and while I was anticipating that one, I was pleasantly surprised when I realized the direction it was taking. TOTALLY different. Yep. And much better than my “imagined” version.
Cathy: I just noticed that Remembering Us has been dropped Maryse! It was an amazing book! You have to read it!
Maryse’s Book Blog: Remembering Us by Stacey Lynn <— Thank you Cathy!! Ooooooh this one looks goooood too!
Jean: Ooooo….I just 1-clicked Remembering Us……looks soooo good!!
LOL re-reading the synopsis I can’t help but do a facepalm.
An extremely unique and intriguing love story that had my nerves teetering on the edge the entire way. Because the mind can play tricks on us. And so can people.
We get to explore life via a main character that has lost her memory (and essentially, the last two years of her life), as she tries to piece together the puzzle that comes back to her in pieces. Having to “trust” those around her in the meantime, that insist she is where she wanted to be, even if she’s not feeling it, while battling her not-so-happy flashbacks.
So what’s it about?
I’m going to tread VERY lightly here, because I LOVED going into this having no real clue. Or let’s just say, having my pre-conceived notion regarding her dreams, and delightfully realizing that I was way off! BUT!!! For those that are like me and like to be clueless reading a book, skip the rest of this review and just know that I LOVED IT!!!! No spoilers below or anything, but this book is definitely better read “blindly”.
Okay here goes:
Amy comes out of a coma (accident induced, although no one will tell her much about that) not remembering anything from the past two years of her life. She finds herself going back to her run-down apartment that doesn’t resemble anything about her life as she remembers it. She discovers clothes and shoes that she can’t imagine having ever worn, and lives with an attractive guy (Adam), that she feels nothing for, at all. Other than apprehension.
There was a hiking accident. That’s all I know. The rest is being left up to my memory, which my doctors have assured me will return. How in the hell do they know? What if I never remember?
It’s been weeks since I woke up from my coma, and I don’t remember anything more than the fact that I live with a stranger and I don’t like him when I dream.
He claims to love her, yet she is struggling to connect to him.
He’s handsome. A soccer player. He has a nice laugh. These are the only thing I know about him.
His kisses remind me of dark chocolate, full of all those feel-good hormones.
My stomach flip-flops and I stop laughing, sobered by the memory.
And her dreams (and potential memories) are confusing her. Because she’s seeing a whole different side of… things.
… they come to me at night as dreams and I have no idea what’s true and what isn’t until I have to sit here and talk about them with my new therapist, dissecting them over and over again.
How in the hell do I know if they’re true?
And how do I know if I’m supposed to trust the guy explaining everything to me? He may dress nice and we might live together, but every time I close my eyes, I see a different version of him than the one everyone else sees during the day.
And what the hell am I supposed to do with that?
And while she remembers her well-to-do (yet emotionally distant) family, and long-time best friend, their vague responses in regards to the last two years of her life have her suspicious.
You would think my parents would want their daughter, who apparently almost died from a hiking accident, around all the time. But not mine. This is only the third time visiting them since I got out of the hospital, and every time I’m around them our conversations are uncomfortable – more strained than I remember.
I want to ask them what happened to make them treat me more distant than normal.
The only answer she is getting from everyone around her is that she was… and still is living life just as she wanted. Her memories will come back. Everything is fine.
Maybe. Maybe not. And that’s the journey you are about to embark upon if you choose to read this.
I loved it!
Maryse’s Book Blog: So I started “Remembering Us” from the latest lists I’ve placed it on (looked good) and boy is it ever! I’m almost done. Very unique story, wonderfully explored, great writing style, and held my rapt attention. Yay me!
Sarah: This is my next read.
Toski: I bought this one!cant wait to hear what you think!!
Tj: Finished this last night… Very clever indeed Maryse Once I started reading it I just can’t seem to stop…
Manny: Just bought it. thank you.
Brittainy: I really LOVED this one! !
Angie: Kind of reminds me of Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson, which came out awhile back. However, it was billed as a psychological thriller, not exactly romantic suspense.
Liv: Yep. MBR….Must Be Read.
Maryse’s Book Blog: *phew* wow just finished! That was kinda… perfect, wasn’t it? Loved!
TK: I love this book so much!!!! Stacey Lynn Is awesome! ️
Kristen: I couldn’t put remembering us down I was up until 2 reading it!! Lol good book
Wow. So much fun!
This author allows us to be blank slates along with the heroine. No dual POV’s here. What she knows, we know. What she questions, we question. We are not privy to any more information than she is, and we experience her strange dreams and flashbacks as she does. Things that seem to oppose what everyone is telling her. Amy has no choice but to build her life again, find herself again as she attempts to understand… to remember who she was and why she feels so different.
That’s part of what made this an exciting, unputtdownable read. It’s secrets were gradually revealed which kept me guessing to the very end. Well paced, and it kept me emotionally invested. Oh yes, this one is not just “mystery” and secrets. It’s about emotion and love. And learning to trust again (but let’s just say… learning who to trust is the first step).
Oh… how do I say this without saying *it*? Let’s just say, I LOVED experiencing her life, and re-experiencing er.. *things* again through her eyes. I was right there with her, every step of the way, connecting to her and her life 100%, but doing so at HER pace.
Such a clever, and unique way to explore this kind of… “potential” love story! Ahhhh my heart!!! I devoured it in one sitting and I loved every single bit of it. And the ending was the delicious icing on the cake! Read it!!
4 to 4.5 stars! (I’m thinking 4.5 stars because I was so pleasantly surprised by the unique story, the clever writing and the fact that it held me the entire way through).
REVIEW: Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn

Fake Wife by Stacey Lynn finds both Corbin Lane and Teagan Monroe in a bind. Corbin’s grandmother, the only person who has shown him love in his life, has passed away. She willed him her home, but with a catch–he has six months to fall in love, get married, and remain married for two years. Teagan’s having a bad day–she gets fired, finds her boyfriend of seven years in bed with another woman, has nowhere to go after moving out of their apartment, and then she crashes into the back of Corbin’s expensive car. She expects him to yell at her, but instead he has another proposal: marriage. Teagan isn’t sure they can pull it off, but he needs her and she needs him.
Everyone assumes Corbin has it made because of his family’s wealth, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. HIs father is unlikeable, his mother dulls her pain with alcohol and drugs, and while he’s expected to take over the family business when his father retires, he wants no part of it. Despite his upbringing he’s genuinely a good guy caught in the hard place of doing what’s expected of him and following his dreams.
Teagan has sacrificed her boyfriend, following him around the country as he goes to medical school then his residency. While she doesn’t have many friends and finds herself in a difficult situation, she makes the most of it. Corbin’s wealth doesn’t intimidate her, and she’s not afraid to call him out when he needs it. I admired what she wanted to do, and I loved how Corbin wanted to support her and her dreams.
I found Drake’s reasoning for cheating on Teagan to be weak. I also didn’t really understand Corbin’s mother. If she was so unhappy in her marriage and the way her husband treated her, I don’t understand why she didn’t just leave him instead of falling into drugs and alcohol. Things probably would have been better for both her and Corbin if she had. Instead, Corbin’s left with a vacant mother who doesn’t really seem to care about anything.
Even though the story is predictable, I still enjoyed it. It’s a quick read with little drama. Fans of the fake fiancé trope will want to check this one out.
Book Info:

Corbin: I loved my grandma, but I don’t need her money. All I care about is keeping the house—the only place that’s ever felt like home. That, and screwing over my dad, who wants to turn the property into a mall. There’s only one catch: To receive my inheritance, I have to get married within six months. Me, the guy who’s never dated a girl for more than six minutes. Now I need to find a woman I can trust. So when I’m rear-ended by a Prius, I figure it’s a sign that I’m supposed to meet gorgeous, down-to-earth Teagan Monroe.
Teagan: First I lose my job. Then I come home and find out—in the most graphic way possible… yeah, that way—that my boyfriend is a cheating jerk. And then I speed off and nearly kill Portland’s sexiest bachelor. Corbin Lane should be pissed. Instead, he offers me more money than I’ve ever seen in my life to marry him and live together in a mansion for two years. No sex. No feelings. Just cash—enough to make all my dreams come true. Then we go and break all our rules… and I realize I’m falling in love with my fake fiancé.

Give me a present day marriage of convenience trope any day of the week! Corbin is a super wealthy, playboy guy who just lost his grandmother. She was important to him, as his father is a horrible man who has a family on the side and his mother is drinking herself to death. His grandmother left him her family estate – but with a condition. He must marry within six months and stay married for at least two years. Corbin knows his grandmother wants him to have someone serious in his life, but he is still pissed that he has to get married, to get his beloved family estate. He knows if his father gets a hold of the property, it will be torn down and turned into a strip mall. So Corbin will do what his grandmother wishes, and find a woman to marry.
Teagan is having the worst day of her life. First, she gets laid off from her job at the library, which she loved. Then she finds her boyfriend of seven years banging a chick in their bed. Devastated, she packs up her car with all of her belongings and starts to drive – and she accidentally drives directly into our hero. She knows who Corbin is, as his picture is flashed on all the gossip magazines. She is horrified. Expecting to be screamed at, instead Corbin invites her to lunch, and then proposes marriage. And $250,000 to stay married for two years. No sex or anything required. Just a business arrangement. Corbin is sick of dating rich girls and takes one look at Teagan and is enchanted with her and her “normalness.”
Teagan is honestly sick of putting her life on hold for men. She quit her job to move to with her cheater ex boyfriend as he went through medical school – and now she would have to put her life on hold again for another two years. I like that this is a concern for her.
“Nothing’s wrong, exactly,” Teagan says, going back to the topic. “I was just thinking today of all the times Drake asked me to put my dreams on hold, all the times he promise I’d get what I wanted once he finished his residency, and now…” Her voice trails off and she shrugs. Looking out the window, she finishes her thought on a whisper. “Now I’m doing it all over again.”
Teagan isn’t forced to have this fake marriage by any means. It’s totally her decision, and she turns out to be a really strong heroine in this book. At first, I wasn’t so sure I was going to like Corbin. A bit cocky, and always talking about women’s looks and how rich women are horrible people etc..and he only wanted to pretend marry a “normal” aka, not rich woman – I don’t know. He rubbed me the wrong way at times
[…] doesn’t get how hard it is for a man like me to find someone who actually likes me. I’ve dated more socialites and daughters of the wealthy than I can count, and all of them typically have one hand on my dick and the other reaching for my black Amex. Rich women are a pain in my ass. They’re more needy than tolerable, and more insecure than an abused dog.
Okay, okay Corbin. Let’s tone down the judgment a little bit sir.
But he turns out to be a good guy. He respects Teagan and treats her well during their fake courtship/engagement. He starts to share real things of his life with her and if he does get out of line, or forgets to be a gentleman, she is there to remind him. She is a really strong character and she made this book for me
It’s also super dirty. Once they move past the fake stuff, into real relationship territory – it gets sexxxy.
It’s a pretty quick book, so things move along fast but it worked for me
