Mazaradi Fox, born Jamal Kahieme Green, was a writer and rapper. Fox grew up in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, where he was exposed to street life at a young age. Starting early in life, he made numerous trips to prison. It was during an eight-year stint at Orleans Correctional Facility that he decided to focus on his musical career. Upon being released from prison, he was brought onto rapper 50 cent’s record label, G-Unit Records. Fox was killed in January, 2014, when a masked shooter opened fire on an SUV Fox was in on Farmers Boulevard in Queens.
The Game Don’t Change, Fox’s only novel, was published postmortem. He wrote the book in 2013 during his incarceration at the Orleans Correctional Facility. The book is published by Infamous Books, a publisher curated by Albert “Prodigy” Johnson from the hip-hop group Mobb Deep. The story centers on DeMarco Jones, a sixteen-year-old drug dealer living in Queens. The book opens with Jones escaping from a juvenile detention center where he had been sent to serve an eighteen-month sentence. He escapes with the help of Mrs. B, a female guard with whom he develops a sexual relationship.
Jones successfully evades police officers and begins selling drugs in Queens with the help of his cousin, Steph. Jones is surprised at how easily and quickly he is able to make money through drug dealing. He quickly becomes very skilled at the trade, using a combination of charm and street smarts to get ahead. Jones earns a reputation as a charming and fearless dealer and ladies man, attracting many women despite his young age. He spends his days selling drugs, partying nonstop, and participating in sexual acts with a variety of women, in some scenes with more than one woman at a time.
Jones discovers that along with success in the drug world comes danger. His competitors challenge his territory and attempt to take his clientele. To maintain his status as drug kingpin, Jones must fight fiercely, putting himself in danger. Ultimately Jones is unable to balance both his party lifestyle and barrage of sexual partners while also maintaining seniority as drug leader on the streets of New York City. The story ends tragically.

The January 3 murder of former G-Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox has reached a critical turn after the NYPD have arrested Jamal Scott, 35, and charged him with second-degree murder on top of four counts of attempted murder and felony assault.
Naturally, any case involving a murdered rapper has a thicker plot and it turns out that Scott is the older brother of a man police say Mazaradi Fox (real name Jamal Green) shot and killed but was never quite convicted for the crime.
Reports the NY Daily News:
The suspect was retaliating against Fox for a murder Fox allegedly participated in back in 1998, officials said.
The arrested man, Jamal Scott, 35, is the ’98 victim’s older brother, according to police sources.
Scott’s brother Curtis was 21 when he was shot dead by Fox and another man outside Jamaica’s Baisley Park Houses on July 7, 1998.
The gunfire erupted after Fox got into an argument with several men and ordered an associate to open fire, cops said.
Curtis Scott, who was walking down a hill on Foch Blvd. was hit above his left eye. A second man, Jamal Ethridge, 23, was struck in the chest.
Green was never found guilty of the murder and his girlfriend maintains “he was only there and didn’t pull the trigger.” Ironically he died in similar fashion when his Nissan SUV was struck multiple times in January, leaving him dead at the scene.
Scott, who has 10 prior arrests, was arraigned today.

The Game Don't Change
Mazaradi Fox, with Brittani Williams. Infamous, $12.95 trade paper (240p) ISBN 978-1-61775-482-1
At the start of this paean to hip-hop life in Queens from Fox, the pseudonym of the rapper Jamal Green (1971-2014), 16-year-old DeMarco Jones escapes from a New York juvenile detention facility, aided by guard Mrs. B, an older woman with whom he has an affair. Back home in Queens, DeMarco hooks into the drug trade with his cousin Steph and is surprised how quickly and easily his money grows. Meanwhile, he performs sexual gymnastics with a variety of girls singly, doubly, and triply. As free with his money and drugs as he is with his sexual favors, DeMarco becomes immensely popular as he engages in an endless round of partying. He must also fend off competitors trying to horn in on his territory. DeMarco's rise is meteoric, and his fall as fast and inevitable, in this tragic tale filled with street talk ("Just 'cause you from the city, that don't mean shit to me"). (Nov.)
